Alex, this is not even debatable. GT500, 50K, 4000#, can make power, but the motors can't handle High HP levels w/ the powder metal rods, mass production, it is roomier, but is a big car. 2003/2004 Cobra, Built Motor, IRS, 6spd Tranny, lighter than the GT 500, space a little tight, handles well, This car was John Coletti's Crowning achivement, and we will NEVER see another car like it, I say you are crazy to get rid of the Cobra, limited production and highly sought after. Fix your small problems w/ it and enjoy it!

I would keep the Cobra or buy a 2006 ZO6 for 45k, Gt500 is a boat...

Thats a very tough choice in a perfect world you could have both...I'm sure that what ever choice you make you will have a badass car either way!

you guy's all make good points and aj does make valid point's as well.

I see more GT500's than 03 04 cobra's. I hardly ever see a 03 04 unless Im at mustang magic.

while ago, the z06 did cross my mind, but my cousin's friend bought one, I sat in it, and looked over the whole car really really well.........and It was not for me.

I didn't like it and it was not my style. Im a mustang guy.

I agree with you there Alex, I would love to get a notch back and build a nitrous motor for it. They are hard to find though.

will you will be disapointed with a stock gt500. I am going to go whipple with mine by next summer hopefully. I dont regret getting rid of my 04yellow cobra, but the shelbys need a little extra kick in the ass.
plus everyone loves the shelbys.

yea man, especially one that is not rusted. In all honesty that car would get a stupid fast combo. BIG cube's auto and turbo.

ALEX....Hard Decision INDEED!!! i own as you know a bolt on cobi and a V3 shelby-gt love both a LOT !!!! YOU KNOW EVERYTHING THE COBRA IS AND WHAT YOURS IS ESPECIALLY ...2011 svt SHELBY has a lot of improvments and refinement MOST NOTICABLE is the CHASIS on s-197 PLATFORM is Light years ahead of new edge ...also its cabin space and ridgidty are awsome ..no squeeks or rattles and it will still handle beautiful..now they also bumped power to 540 ...you will again have a warrenty and if you dont want to go crazy and want more a pully tune and cat back combine with the larger displacment will put at a more than AMPLE performance LEVEL..YOU dont RACE YOUR CAR or should i say take it to the track and YOU dont BEAT THE PISS OUT OF IT so FOR YOU 610 rwhp VS-580 rwhp should not determine your decision!!!! NEW IS NEW BRO ...IDEAL is to own BOTH but practicle /AFFORDABLE is one so if your tired of the cobra dont worry the GT 500 is still a great car ..I would love one too...i would ditch the COBRA FOR ONE!!! the new body is GORGEOUS GOOD LUCK ...ohhh and i GOT X PLAN ON MY SHELBY>>>> and all deal rebates and incentives TOO!!

I would love to own both. lol. But it's not practical as you say. I have to sit in one and check out the car.

I do believe it's night and day. The new cobra is much more refined as you stated and what other's have said. I will go to a dealership and check out the shelby

Alex, you have a mint condition 600 rwhp, 10 second Terminator (limited production) beast. I could see my nose hairs in the mirror finish on your flawless paint. Your car is P E R F E C T. keep it brother.
